This Cookie Policy explains how Linkx.ee, operated by MCR One Oy, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and services (the "Platform"). It is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Finland. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves to your device when you visit. They allow the site to recognise your device and store information about your preferences or past actions. Cookies may be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services the site uses ("third-party cookies"). This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and tracking scripts, which work in comparable ways.
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies. Required to operate the Platform, including authentication, session management, security and load balancing. These do not require your consent, and cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality.
- Preference cookies. Remember choices that change how the Platform behaves or looks, such as your language or display settings.
- Analytics cookies. Help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it. In the European Union these require your consent, even where the data is aggregated.
- Marketing and advertising cookies. Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, to show you relevant ads on other sites. These always require your consent.

4. Your consent
We ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Non-essential cookies are not placed on your device until you have made a choice.
Our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and refusing does not restrict your access to the Platform.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of our website. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.

5. Cookies on bio pages and short links
Linkx.ee lets our users publish bio pages and short links that are visited by their own audiences. If you are visiting a page or following a link created by a Linkx.ee user:
- We record analytics about the visit, such as click counts, approximate location at city or country level, referring site, and device and browser type. This is used to give the page owner statistics about their audience.
- The page owner may add their own third-party integrations or tracking to their page. We do not control those, and they are governed by the page owner's own privacy information. The page owner is an independent data controller for the data they collect.

6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use. These providers are listed in the table in section 3 and in the service provider list in our Privacy Policy. They may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, referring URLs and interaction patterns.
These third parties process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Platform from working, including signing in.
8. International transfers
Some of the providers named in section 3 may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on adequacy decisions of the European Commission or on Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Your rights
Where cookies collect personal data, you have the rights set out in our Privacy Policy, including the right to be informed, to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the law. Where a change means we need to set new non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again before doing so. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
